Fall Family Photos in Fernie!

We tell our kids often that we love them. Hugs and kisses are doled out generously. An encouraging word, sympathetic look, shoulder squeeze, or a much-anticipated gift on their birthday. These are things we all aspire to do regularly with our children.

Perhaps an overlooked but important way we tell our kids they matter is the visual reminder of their value in the family. When they see a photo of themselves, nestled in with their loved ones, it gives reassurance and comfort that they belong and are loved.

As a photographer, this is an important part of my work. It matters that each family member can look at their images and know that they are connected.

Just like you, it is hard for me to choose photos to grace our walls. Our pantry door has about 50 photos of our family adventures and our bonds with each other. Our kids are proud of those memories and the photographic evidence of one of our core family values: relationships. They are chuffed to see themselves in our family story.
