I think in pictures. Light, emotion, and connection catch my eye constantly — and I love capturing that beauty through my lens.
My heart is split between wings and roots. I crave new places and wild adventures, but I’m also grounded in the Canadian Rockies and the life we’ve built here.
Before photography, I was an outdoor guide in Canada and New Zealand, helping people discover their strength in wild places. That love for nature, people, and adventure still drives everything I do.
Other things that make me smile?
Eating wild raspberries.
Long days of summer, dirty feet, tousled hair.
Running on trails.
Spending time with good people.
Finding a new recipe that is a keeper.
The Philosophy
Because I believe we all are. We’re made for challenge, awe, joy — and for a life that feels alive. For our family, the outdoors has been our connection point, our classroom, and our best source of laughter.
Getting outside with kids isn’t easy — it’s chaotic and beautiful and so worth it. We’ve hauled babies in canoes, biked with trailers full of toddlers, and answered many surprised stares along the way. But through it all, adventure has been our glue. It’s how we’ve taught our kids resilience, wonder, teamwork, and how to light their own fire (literally and metaphorically).
The Practical Side of Born to Adventure
Born to Adventure has grown alongside our family — and now I get to bring that same spirit to others through photography.
I shoot outdoor events and races, capturing the grit, joy, and stories of people pushing their limits — whether it’s their first time or their fiftieth. I love seeing people of all ages and abilities show up, try something new, and surprise themselves.
I also create brand photography for outdoor-focused businesses and individuals who want bold, beautiful images of themselves in wild places — climbing, paddling, hiking, biking, or just being unapologetically themselves in the great outdoors. Whether you're an athlete, a guide, a business owner, a marketing co-ordinator or someone who simply loves adventure, I’d love to help tell your story.
